Boost Your Web Presence with SEO-Friendly URL’s

Posted by ben on at 6:40 pm

Ladies and gentleman, get ready. SEO-Friendly URL’s have arrived!

With this new feature, you can now create custom URL’s for each page and RSS feeds on your mobile website.

For instance, let’s assume you’ve created a website for John’s Sneaker Shop, with the following URL: http://johnssneakers.prohost.mobi. If you add a ‘Contact Us‘ page to the site, you can name it http://johnssneakers.prohost.mobi/contact-us.

Additionally, you can edit the URL for pages or RSS feeds which have already been built into a mobile site in the Edit Elements page.

We hope you’re as excited about this new feature as we are!

New PayPal Element = More m-commerce Options

Posted by Laura on October 26, 2011 at 5:08 pm

We’ve added a PayPal element to our Elements page, for all Basic level plans and up.

If you are an existing PayPal client, all you need to create this element is to insert your PayPal email address and complete the fields for payment amount.  Once created, you can lay this element out as needed on the site layout page.

As with Google Checkout, the PayPal button makes it easy for customers to purchase items directly from your  mobile site and MoFuse does not take any piece of the transaction.

1. Set Up Your PayPal “Buy Now” Button

Place Two Ad Tags – One on Top, One on Bottom

Posted by Laura on October 4, 2011 at 5:32 pm

You asked and we delivered!

In response to your requests to set up separate mobile ad tags for the top and bottom of your site, we’ve recently made changes to our Mobile Advertising page on the platform.

In addition to turning ads on/off, and choosing placement (top, bottom or both top and bottom of your site) you can now also insert separate ad tags on the top and bottom of the site.

This is especially useful to anyone working with mobile ad sponsors, testing multiple ad networks, or just interested in maximizing mobile ad revenue.

AdMob to discontinue mobile ad service beginning October 1st

Posted by ben on September 26, 2011 at 10:32 am

As you may have heard, AdMob will stop serving ads to the mobile web beginning October 1st, 2011. At that time, requests for publishers using the ‘WAP’ site code will no longer return and display ads. Because of this, Google is recommending that all publishers using AdMob switch over to AdSense for their mobile ad content. Here are the instructions that Google is supplying:

1. Visit www.google.com/adsense and log in with a Google Account.  If you
don’t have one, you can create an account for free at the following page:
https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount

2. If you haven’t set up an AdSense campaign before, check out the following
AdSense Quick Start Guide:

3. To learn more about how to utilize AdSense for mobile content, please see the following guide:

4. For more information on this recent development, please see the official release at http://helpcenter.admob.com/content/admob-mobile-web-sunset.
