Ladies and gentleman, get ready. SEO-Friendly URL’s have arrived!
With this new feature, you can now create custom URL’s for each page and RSS feeds on your mobile website.
For instance, let’s assume you’ve created a website for John’s Sneaker Shop, with the following URL: http://johnssneakers.prohost.mobi. If you add a ‘Contact Us‘ page to the site, you can name it http://johnssneakers.prohost.mobi/contact-us.

Additionally, you can edit the URL for pages or RSS feeds which have already been built into a mobile site in the Edit Elements page.
We hope you’re as excited about this new feature as we are!

Do you include external links on your mobile site?
If the answer is yes, then the next question is, do these links go to another mobile site?
An easy way to optimize your site for SEO is to make sure that whenever possible, you are always linking to a mobile web page.
For example, many of our clients incorporate YouTube videos in their mobile site. YouTube makes things very easy as they do automatic mobile detection for any link that you set up. However, if you use their actual mobile URL (m.youtube.com/yourvideohere...) when setting up an external link from your MoFuse site instead of the regular desktop URL (www.youtube.com/yourvideohere...) this will only help improve your mobile SEO ranking.
The bottom line: use a mobile URL for any external links, whenever you can!

People are using Search as a primary way to get to your mobile web site.
You can help users to find your mobile site by claiming it on the major search engines. Since Google is far and away the largest search engine in terms of market share, the first step to promoting your mobile website is to sign up for Google Webmaster Tools if you haven’t already. Simply go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and either sign in or register.
Then, you’ll want to submit your mobile URL to Google so that your site can get indexed.
To do this, visit the following page: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl.
Keep in mind that it can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, on average, for your mobile site to index in Google. By claiming your site on Google, you will be on your way to making sure that mobile ’searchers’ find your mobile site.
- Note that Google will not make any guarantees on whether or not your site gets indexed

For every site built with MoFuse Premium, MoFuse automatically creates a mobile sitemap and exposes it to every major search engine. There’s nothing you need to do to take advantage of this feature, and we have opened this feature across all MoFuse plans (Basic, Small Business, and Ultimate).
